The Tree House Boys (Short Film)
This short film was produced as part of christianfilmmakers.org's 36-hour film competition. While some pre-production is allowed ahead of time, to have a film be eligible for the contest, it must be filmed, edited, and uploaded to YouTube before the time limit. For our film, Form F-45, the storyline was written before hand, but most of the dialog was conceived during the 36 hour time frame.

While the idea of making a music video had always appealed to me, I hadn't had the opportunity to do so until Cornerstone Church (a local church) asked us to make one as an opening for their annual Youth Sunday play.

Alex Robinson, trying to break out of his shell, is looking for the perfect opportunity to share his faith with an unbeliever. Excuses, however, run his day as he holds out for the perfect opportunity. But will it ever come?

The Tree House Boys recalls a delightful tale about the importance of integrity. Set in the 1960s, the dilemma of making correct choices before God versus bending to peer pressure equally applies today. With a bit of a twist at the end, the film will leave you with a warm feeling of yesteryear, a moral lesson for applying today, and a smile to face tomorrow.

Over the next few months CV Productions plans to create a short film of 15 minutes in length to comply with the entry regulations of the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival We also plan on shooting a video to promote silence in theaters during films. A script has been written for that video, storyboarding has begun and it will be shot later this month. While a general idea has been thought of for the short film, we are working on cultivating that idea into a solid premise before writing an outline. We are slated to begin production on that film in July.
CV Productions was started by Caleb Vetter in 2006 and is dedicated to making films that glorify God and our Lord Jesus Christ, teach his people, and are enjoyable to watch. Caleb's dream of directing has been around ever since he was old enough to shout "Can I see in the camera?" CV Productions now uses the latest HD film equipment, producing high quality entertainment for the whole family.
